Though the Macintosh Plus has securely occupied the low end of the Macintosh line for many years, as evidenced by the "System Requirements" listed on many software packages as "Mac Plus or Higher Required," it is finally beginning to give up that position and enjoy a peaceful retirement among such worthies as the Apple II, the Macintosh (you know, the 128k version), the Macintosh II, and the Macintosh SE. To honor the old worthy I decided to write this screen saver - on my old Plus, no less. (Admittedly, this was a beefed-up Plus, with every conceivable goodie and 4 megs of RAM, but a Plus, nonetheless.)
I got the idea for this module while talking to my good friend Micah Cowan one day. He is the last person I know of who still does all his work on a Mac Plus - with 1 meg of RAM, believe it or not. And yes, I did design the ship to look like a cross between the Enterprise and a Klingon ship on purpose. I couldn't make up my mind which one looked cooler, so I decided to do both. (And it's Micah who's the Trekkie, not me!)
